COLLEGE PARK, Md. (AP) - Greivis Vasquez and Eric Hayes each scored 12 points, and Maryland limited Concordia to four first-half field goals in a 75-42 exhibition victory Wednesday night.

James Gist had nine points and six rebounds for the Terrapins, who open their season Sunday night against North Florida. Landon Milbourne and freshman Adrian Bowie also scored nine points apiece.

James Clark scored 10 for Concordia, a Canadian team that lost by 18 to No. 17 Arizona on Sunday.

Maryland made only eight baskets in the first half, but limited Concordia to 4-for-27 shooting in taking a 26-10 lead. Nine different players scored for the Terrapins, a trend coach Gary Williams would no doubt love to see continue throughout the season.

Milbourne made the game's first three baskets and Gist followed with a pair of field goals to launch the rout. The Stingers missed their first 13 shots and committed seven turnovers before James Clark hit a short jumper to make it 12-2 with 11:24 left in the half.

Concordia didn't score again until Clark made two free throws with 7:10 to go. At that point, the Stingers were 1-for-20 from the field with nine turnovers.

The second half was more of the same. Vasquez and Milbourne each made a three-point play, and Gist contributed two free throws and a 3-pointer in an 11-2 surge that put the Terps up 37-12.

The margin swelled to 30 points with 13 minutes left. Maryland scored 49 points on 55 percent shooting in the second half.
