Hey Guys!! We just finished our second week of boot camp. Everyone is looking really good and working hard both in and out of the gym. So far the team dynamic is awesome and everyone is truly supporting each other both in the gym and in our extra activities such as our spin or circuit lift. It's so great to hear everyone motivating each other!

This past week we had an extra special treat because there were recruits here checking out the team and campus. On Thursday we had a team tailgate before the big blackout football game. Duke grilled up some delicious food and we got some time to relax with each other. The game was exciting; especially with everyone there cheering on the Terp's. Before the game some of us got to go onto the field and experience being right in all the action. There were even some Paratroopers that jumped out of a plane and landed in the dead center of the field. Then on Friday everybody got all dressed up and pretty for a trip to the Inner Harbor in Baltimore for dinner at the Cheesecake Factory...yum! We got to ride in the Maryland bus, which is so nice and definitely makes you feel important.

On our way there the coaches gave us some of our apparel for the year. We got some new Nike sweats, which are really hot and we'll probably wear everyday, new practice leotards, and of course our new t-shirts. Every year we look forward to getting the shirts because on the back we have our theme for the year. This year in particular is a special one because it is Duke's 30th year here at Maryland. We wanted to recognize and remember it because he has done so much for all of us and we wanted to show him our appreciation. So on the back of two of the tees is the name and number 30. The other theme of the year is "Teamwork Makes the Dream Work." We hope to make this year one to remember!

I hope you all have a spectacular week and keep supporting your Terp's Gymnastics team!! Thanks for reading!
