The buzz at Comcast Center is about basketball as the annual hardwood celebration that is Maryland Madness hits the court Friday night.

Comcast SportsNet will broadcast live from the Maryland Madness festivities from 9 to 10 p.m. on Friday.

Free tickets for Maryland Madness are still available and can be picked up on Friday at the Terrapin Ticket Office. Reservations can be made by calling the Terrapin Ticket Office at 1-800-IM-A-TERP.

The entire program of Maryland Madness will be available for streaming on the Internet at this link.

Gates open Friday at Comcast Center at 6:30 p.m. The action on court begins at 7:20 with a Gary Willliams Look-Alike Contest. A men's basketball alumni game is scheduled for 7:50 p.m., with various dance and gymnastics performances following.

Introductions for the women's and men's teams are scheduled to begin around 9 p.m.
