Cliff Tucker scored 26 points to lead both squads as the Red team beat the Black squad 80-66 in the first preseason scrimmage for the University of Maryland men's basketball team Saturday at Comcast Center.
Tucker went 8-for-14 from the floor and 7-for-9 from the line in a solid all-around performance.
Landon Milbourne finished with 24 points and nine rebounds, while Greivis Vasquez added 23 points, eight rebounds and five assists for the Black team.
Eric Hayes had 16 points, including four 3-pointers, and dished out eight assists while running the point for the Red team. Adrian Bowie had 11 points and 10 assists for the Black squad.
Dino Gregory led both teams with a dozen rebounds, including six on the offensive glass.
Maryland opens its 2008-09 season on Saturday, Nov. 8, with an exhibition matchup against Northwood (Fla.).

"I liked our enthusiasm. We've had some guys who have worked hard since early April, during the summer and in preseason. I think we looked pretty quick out there. A lot depends on how far our big guys can go. Basically, the inside players are pretty new.
"Playing Landon Milbourne at the power forward is a way to go to get some more guards out there. I'm trying to see how we can go with the big guys."
