ACC Pride: Maryland improved to 7-3 all-time in ACC/Big Ten Challenge matchups, including a 5-0 mark at home. The Terps have won four straight in the Challenge, having also beaten Illinois twice (2006 and 2007) and Minnesota (2005).

Maryland Over Michigan: With its victory on Wednesday over the Wolverines, Maryland has beaten both of the state of Michigan's largest universities (Michigan State and Michigan) in the same season for the first time in school history.

Hitting the Boards: The Terps out-rebounded the Wolverines 43-26 in winning Wednesday's contest.

Dagger: Landon Milbourne slammed home a no-look pass from Greivis Vasquez with 4:08 remaining in the contest to give Maryland a 65-61 lead that it would not relinquish.

Halftime Adjustments: Trailing 35-29 at the half, the Terps found their stride after leaving the locker room, opening the second half on a 16-3 run to take a seven-point lead. Five different Terps - Greivis Vasquez (five points), Dino Gregory (four), Eric Hayes (three), Adrian Bowie (two) and Dave Neal (two) - scored during that stretch as Maryland forced three consecutive turnovers, converting each into points.

Venezuelan Sensation: Guard Greivis Vasquez rebounded from a tough game on Sunday against Georgetown by stuffing the stat sheet against Michigan. The reigning All-ACC nominee notched a career high and team season high 12 rebounds to go along with 23 points and six assists. It marked the second time this season (also vs. Youngstown State) Vasquez has led the team in all three categories. Vasquez now has scored in double figures in 32 of his last 34 games. He now has started 43 consecutive games for the Terps dating back to the 2007 ACC Tournament.

Double-Double: Vasquez's performance marked the first double-double by a Maryland player since James Gist (23 point and 11 rebounds) at Syracuse in the NIT last March 30.

Record Book Update: Vasquez has continued his ascent this season through the Maryland record book. With his performance against Michigan, the junior passed Len Elmore (1972-74), John Gilchrist (2003-05) and Brad Davis (1975-77) to claim 43rd place on the team's all-time scoring list with 1,036 points. By hitting two 3-pointers, he tied Laron Profit (1996-99) for 11th place all-time with 105 career 3-pointers made, and he remains in 10th place in school history in assists with 422.

Dino-mite: Forward Dino Gregory entered Wednesday's game having never scored more than two points in a contest, but he notched six second-half points to spark the Terps. The sophomore added a career-high seven rebounds against the Wolverines.

Hayes' Free-Throw Streak: By connecting on 4 of 4 free throws on Wednesday, guard Eric Hayes now has made his last 18 shots from the charity strip dating back to last season's game vs. Clemson on March 2. Hayes has made his first 16 free throws this season after hitting his final two of the previous campaign. Hayes, who scored 13 points against the Wolverines, career free throw percentage of .894 (93/104) would be tops all-time in Maryland history.

Nail-biter: Wednesday's game between Maryland and Michigan featured six ties and 12 lead changes. Neither team accumulated a double-digit lead, as the Terps' biggest lead was seven points and the Wolverines largest advantage was nine.

Free Throw Shooting: Maryland entered Wednesday's game ranked 16th in the nation in free throw shooting (77.9 percent) and continued to shoot well from the strip versus the Wolverines (18-for-20).

Points in the Paint: Despite being billed as an undersized team, Maryland founds its way to the basket on Wednesday. More than 45 percent of the team's points (34 of 75) came in the paint.

Maryland's No. 1: Forward Landon Milbourne regained his scoring touch against the Wolverines, contributing 12 points on 4 of 6 shooting. He now is averaging 11.8 points in four homes games thus far this season.

Coaching Legend: Now with 609 career victories overall, Williams remains in sixth place among active NCAA Division I coaches. He stands four wins behind Houston coach Tom Penders (whose squad also has five wins thus far this season) for fifth place all-time. Williams, who posted his 400th win at Maryland with an overtime victory over Vermont on Nov. 21, also now has 402 career victories as coach of his alma mater.

That's Comcastic: The Terps now have won 57 of 61 non-conference games since moving into Comcast Center in 2002. The team stands 89-20 (.817) all-time in games played on its current homecourt.

Trey Streak Intact: With Sean Mosley's first career 3-pointer with 6:40 remaining in the first half, the Terps extended their streak of hitting at least one shot from beyond the arc to 327 consecutive games.

Series Record: By winning Wednesday's first ACC/Big Ten Challenge matchup between the schools, Maryland evened its all-time series with Michigan at 3-3. The Terps have won two consecutive games in a series dating back to 1927.

Attendance: A sellout crowd of 17,950 took in Wednesday night's game in Comcast Center.
