COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Marah Strickland scored a career-high 20 points and Maryland (No. 5 ESPN/USA Today, No. 4 AP) cruised to a 78-51 win over Boston College on Thursday night.

The victory was the fourth straight for the Terrapins (26-2, 10-1 Atlantic Coast Conference), while the Eagles (17-8, 5-5) suffered their third straight loss.

Maryland, which had made just 24 percent of its 3-pointers over the previous five games, made 11 of 22 3-point attempts.

Strickland scored 14 first half points and made all five of her 3-pointers.

Boston College was led by Carolyn Swords and Stefanie Murphy, who scored 10 points each. The Eagles were plagued by 20 turnovers, leading to 26 Maryland points.

Kristi Toliver added 12 points for Maryland and Ashleigh Newman broke out of a slump with 15.
