    COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Senior goalie Allie Buote was named the ACC Player of the Week while midfielder Kelly Kasper was tabbed the WomensLax.com Player of the Week for their roles in Maryland's 10-8 win at No. 9 North Carolina on Saturday. It is the second time this season that the two have earned these respective awards.

    Buote came up huge for the Terps in goal as she was credited with 10 saves. Three of them came on free position shots in the two-goal victory, Maryland's first at North Carolina since 2005. She has stopped 10 or more shots in four of her last five outings. The Tar Heels were averaging 11 goals per game heading into the contest.

    The Annapolis, Md., native ranks second in the ACC in goals against average (8.04) and saves (102) and third in save percentage (.505). Her goals against average and save percentage both rank ninth in the country.

    Kasper led all scorers with four goals and an assist against the Tar Heels. Her four goals came on just five shots. It was the most goals she has scored in a game since March 8. The senior captain also had a draw control and a caused turnover on the defensive end.

    The Eldersburg, Md., product ranks second in the conference in points (54), assists (24), and draw controls per game (3.08). Her assists and draw totals also rank 18th in the nation.
