GREENSBORO, N.C. - The University of Maryland women's lacrosse team placed six Terrapin student-athletes on the 2008 All-Atlantic Coast Conference Academic team as announced today by Commissioner John D. Swofford.
Maryland senior attacker Katie Princiotto earned her third straight All-ACC Academic team selection. Fellow Terps Katie Pumphrey, Amanda Spinnenweber, Allie Buote, Caitlyn McFadden and Laura Merrifield join her on the team.
Duke's Carolyn Davis, a junior Psychology major, was named the ACC Women's Lacrosse Scholar-Athlete of the Year. She is a three-time ACC All-Academic team selection and a first-team All-American from the Womenslax.com, IWLCA/U.S. Lacrosse and Inside Lacrosse.
