Win Streak Intact: The Terps overcame an 11-point first-half margin - their largest deficit in more than a month - to defeat Charlotte and improve to 9-0 at home this season. By extending its win streak to seven games (last loss: Nov. 30 vs. Georgetown), Maryland has its longest such streak since also running off seven consecutive victories to close out the 2006-07 regular season (Feb. 11 to March 3, 2007).

The Comeback: Trailing 18-7 less than five minutes into the contest, Maryland clawed its way back into the game, taking its first lead, 46-45, on a Landon Milbourne free throw with 17:48 remaining in the second half. Maryland began the second half on a 27-8 run to take control in winning for the second time this season after trailing at the half (also vs. Michigan on Dec. 3)

Three-Ball: The Terps tied a season-high by connecting on nine 3-pointers against Charlotte, including four by Greivis Vasquez, who has hit 45.9 percent of his 3-point attempts (17 of 37) during the last six games. Eric Hayes (two), Sean Mosley (two) and Cliff Tucker (one) also contributed to Maryland's 3-point barrage. Vasquez's first 3-pointer with 12:31 remaining in the first half extended the Terps' streak of hitting at least one shot from beyond the arc to 333 consecutive games.

Venezuelan Sensation: Guard Greivis Vasquez continued to spark the Terps' offense, finishing one shy of his career-best with 27 points on Saturday. The reigning All-ACC nominee now has scored in double figures in 38 of his last 40 games. He has started 49 consecutive games for the Terps dating back to the 2007 ACC Tournament. In two career games versus Charlotte, Vasquez is averaging 25.5 points.

Mighty Mosley: Guard Sean Mosley followed up a strong six-point, five-rebound performance last Tuesday against Elon by coming off the bench to score a career-high 11 points against Charlotte on 4-of-6 shooting. Eight of Mosley's points came in the first half, as he helped keep Maryland in the game.

Maryland's No. 1: Forward Landon Milbourne continued to serve as a steady post player for the Terps on Saturday, contributing 13 points along with five rebounds. Maryland now is 9-0 this season when Milbourne scores in double figures.

Buzzer Beater: Guard Eric Hayes hit a mid-range jumper from the top of the key right before the buzzer signaled the end of the first half to pull Maryland within three at halftime. Hayes finished with 10 points and four assists versus the 49ers.

Lined-Up for Success: Maryland improved to 7-0 with its current starting lineup of guards Eric Hayes, Adrian Bowie and Greivis Vasquez, forward Landon Milbourne and center Dave Neal. That current starting five represents the third combination used by coach Gary Williams thus far this season, though all three have involved Hayes, Vasquez and Milbourne.

Free Throw Shooting: Maryland entered Saturday's contest leading the ACC and ranked sixth in the nation in free throw shooting (79.1 percent) and continued to shoot well from the stripe versus the 49ers, hitting 16 of 19 (84.2 percent). Maryland improved to 11-0 this season when it makes more free throws than its opponent.

Board Work: Maryland had a season-high 19 offensive rebounds en route to a 40-30 edge on the boards.

Getting Defensive: The Terps now are 11-0 when they hold their opponent to less than 50 percent shooting from the field.

Record Book Update: Several Maryland players have continued their ascents this season through the Maryland record book. With his performance against Charlotte, Greivis Vasquez passed a trio of former Terps - Duane Simpkins (1993-96), D.J. Strawberry (2003-07) and Steve Blake (2000-03) - to claim 35th place all-time at Maryland with 1,145 points.

Coaching Legend: Now with 615 career victories overall, Gary Williams remains in sixth place among active NCAA Division I coaches. He stands one win behind Houston coach Tom Penders (whose squad has eight wins thus far this season) for fifth place all-time. Williams, who posted his 400th win at Maryland with an overtime victory over Vermont on Nov. 21, also now has 408 career victories as coach of his alma mater.

That's Comcastic: The Terps now have won 62 of 66 non-conference games since moving into Comcast Center in 2002. The team stands 94-20 (.825) all-time in games played on its current homecourt and is 142-5 (.966) in regular season non-conference home games under Williams.

Series Record: By winning Saturday's game, Maryland improved to 3-0 all-time against Charlotte, having also won last year and during the 1975-76 season.
