Senior Day: Prior to the game, the University of Maryland honored 17 men who played their final game for the Terps. In addition to 14 seniors, OL Danny Edwards, OL Matthew Harraka, and DL Josh Horton, who are juniors in terms of eligibility, were honored. Joining Edwards, Harraka and Horton were: Nolan Carroll, Phil Costa, Deege Galt, Tommy Galt, Jared Harrell, Travis Ivey, Cory Jackson, David May, Jamari McCollough, Terrell Skinner, Hakeem Sule, Richard Taylor, Chris Turner and Anthony Wiseman.

Turner passes 2,000: Chris Turner returned on Senior Day to start for the Terps after missing the last two games with a knee injury, finishing the game11-of-17 for 101 yards. The 101 yards put him over 2,000 passing yards on the season, making him the fifth quarterback in school history with back-to-back 2,000 passing-yard seasons. Turner finishes his career second all-time on the Maryland career passing yards chart with 6,543, trailing only Scott Milanovich (7,301, 1992-95).

Top Tackler: Linebacker Alex Wujciak has been a major presence for the Terps over the past two seasons. With 12 tackles today, he became the first Maryland defender to post more than 125 tackles (133 in 2008) in back-to-back years since E.J. Henderson (150 in 2001; 175 in 2002). Wujciak finished the year with 131 tackles. He has posted double-digit tackles in 17 of the past 22 games.

Smith caps off record-breaking season: Torrey Smith capped off a record-breaking season with six catches for 68 yards and 142 all-purpose yards. His 61 catches this season are the most since Jermaine Lewis had 66 in 1995. With 2,192 all-purpose yards this season, Smith surpassed Thomas Jones' (Virginia, 2,054 in 1999) ACC single-season all-purpose yards record. C.J. Spiller of Clemson, however, has 2,207 this season with two games left to play. Smith is ranked in the top 10 of eight different statistical categories:
Smith ranks...
1st - Maryland single-season all-purpose yards (2,192)
1st - Maryland single-season kickoff return yards (1,309)
1st - Maryland career kickoff return yards (2,398)
2nd - ACC single-season all-purpose yardage (2,192)
5th - Maryland career all-purpose yards (3,617)
5th - Maryland single-season receptions (61)
6th ¬- Maryland single-season receiving yards (824)

Smith also cracked the top 20 in two school receiving categories as well...
T-16th - Maryland career receptions (85)
20th - Maryland career receiving yards (1,160)

Freshman steps up: With a field goal and extra point today, true freshman Nick Ferrara finished the season with 79 points, which ranks tied for 16th on the Maryland single-season points list. His 18 field goals made this year rank fifth on the Maryland single-season chart.

Wiseman finishes strong: Senior CB Anthony Wiseman posted a career-high 10 tackles against Boston College, including one tackle-for-loss. He also had one pass breakup, giving him nine on the season. Wiseman led the team in PBUs last year as well (10).

Robinson wrap: Sophomore QB Jamarr Robinson also had strong games to end the season. He went 9-for-15 for 115 yards against the Eagles, giving him his third game with many plays in which he had no interceptions and a TD pass (28 yards to Torrey Smith). He finishes the season with no interceptions in 52 attempts with a pair of touchdowns.
