  • The Terrapins rolled to a 98-55 victory over Winston-Salem State on Tuesday in their last outing. Greivis Vasquez had his first double-double of the season with 27 points and 11 assists. He also chipped in eight rebounds and three steals in his best performance of the season. His 27 points were the most by a Maryland player so far this year. Combined with his 20-point effort against Eastern Kentucky, it marked his first back-to-back 20-point games since early in the 2008-09 season (28 vs. Youngstown State, 11/18/08, and 26 vs. Vermont, 11/21/08).

  • Vasquez, who went 9-for-16 from the floor, including a 4-for-4 effort from 3-point range, also hit all five of his free throws. He now leads Maryland with a 14.9 points-per-game average. He is also among the ACC's leaders in free-throw percentage at .894.

  • Maryland had nine of its dozen 3-pointers in the first half against Winston-Salem State. That matched Maryland's high for a full game this season, as the Terps had nine in 40 minutes against Villanova. Adrian Bowie (3-for-5 behind the arc for a season-high nine points) and Cliff Tucker (3-for-3 treys en route to a season-high 13 points) helped Maryland to a season-best 12-for-18 against the Rams. The Terps are now hitting .399 from 3-point range this season.

  • Sean Mosley and Eric Hayes have scored in double figures in nine of the Terrapins' first 10 games of the year.

  • Maryland is again playing one of the most difficult schedules in the nation. Five of the Terps' opponents in 2009-10 were ranked in the USA Today/ESPN Coaches' Top 25 this week. Seven other past or future opponents received votes in the same poll.
