PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - Team captain Lisa Miller and the Maryland women's tennis team cruised to their second win Sunday afternoon. Miller won her match at No. 5 singles to clinch the Maryland win over Pennsylvania, 5-2. The Terps earned wins in four of the six singles contests as well as two in doubles play.

After falling to Princeton, 6-1, a day earlier in New Jersey, the Terps (2-6) were ready to get back to work against the Quakers (1-4).

Maryland came out of the gates strong, opening play by taking the doubles point. At No. 3 doubles, Eleanor Peters and Jordan Hansbrough earned the win over Jacqueline Wong and Jordyn Shaffer, 8-2.

Playing together for just the second time this season, Maggie MacKeever and Miller downed Penn's Ekaterina Kosminskaya and Alexa Ely, 8-4, clinching the double point.

The Terps lone doubles loss came as Michal Amir and Karin Lundmark fell to Lauren Sadaka and Maria Anisimova, 8-5.

Maryland pushed the match lead to 3-0 as Peters and Hansbrough each dominated their singles matches. Peters dispatched of Anisimova at No. 1 singles, 6-1, 6-1, while Hansbrough followed with a 6-2, 6-0, victory over Vidya Dabir. The win by Peters was her third consecutive victory.

Shortly thereafter, Miller would provide the Terrapins with the final needed victory, defeating Shaffer, 6-3, 6-1.

At the No. 3 slot, Karin Lundmark posted a 6-2, 4-6, 10-7, win over Alexa Ely, her second dual match victory of the season.

The Terps only losses in singles play came after the match had already been decided. In a tight match, MacKeever fell to Wong, 1-6, 6-4, 10-6, and Amir was bested at No. 2 singles by Sadaka, 6-4, 6-3.
