Neal The Real Deal: Forward Dave Neal had a memorable Senior Night performance, connecting on 5 of 6 3-point attempts (and 7 of 11 shots overall) en route to a career-high 19 points in his final regular season home game. Neal contributed 14 of his points during the second half. Maryland's lone senior nailed his first 3-pointer at the end of the first half to give the team a 32-35 halftime lead, and he added four more from behind the arc during the second half.

Venezuelan Sensation: Greivis Vasquez has been playing his best basketball of late, and Tuesday night's game was no exception. The junior guard tallied 16 points, a game-high seven assists and five rebounds, hitting four of his first five shots to start the game, as Maryland built an early 17-10 lead. Vasquez now is averaging 23.5 points per game during the last four contests. Making his 64th consecutive start, Vasquez now has scored in double figures in 61 of his last 65 contests.

Ball Security: Maryland continued to take excellent care of the basketball at home, committing just 10 turnovers against the Demon Deacons. It marked the 16th time during 2008-09 the Terps have recorded 12 or fewer turnovers in a game.

Turnover Margin: Maryland forced 16 Wake Forest turnovers Tuesday night while committing just 10 of its own for a turnover margin of +6. It marked the 21st time this season the Terps have committed fewer turnovers than their opponent.

Record Book Update: With his four helpers versus Wake forest, Eric Hayes passed John Gilchrist (2003-05) to claim 13th place in school history with 366 career assists.

Trey Streak Intact: With Greivis Vasquez's 3-pointer during a fastbreak less than three minutes into the contest, the Terps extended their streak of hitting at least one shot from beyond the arc to 349 consecutive games.

Series History: Despite Tuesday's outcome, Maryland stands 61-55 all-time versus Wake Forest, having won four of the last five matchups.
