
Dupree to Transfer from Maryland

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Braxton Dupree has received his release and intends to transfer from the University of Maryland, men's basketball head coach Gary Williams announced Wednesday.
Dupree, a 6-foot-8 sophomore from Baltimore, Md., played in 25 games for the Terrapins this season, starting six. He averaged 2.1 points, 2.4 rebounds and 10.0 minutes per game. He averaged 1.9 points and 1.1 rebounds in nine conference games in 2008-09.
"We wish Braxton well and appreciate his efforts in his two years at the University of Maryland," said Williams. "Hopefully, he will be successful in all his future endeavors as a student-athlete."
