GREENSBORO, N.C. - The 53rd annual Atlantic Coast Conference honor roll list for student-athletes was announced last month.

Maryland was second in the league with 271 student-athletes achieving academic honors for the 2008-09 school year.

Of those Terps, 16 members were members of the water polo team including Elizabeth Eicks, Christine Goetsch, Elina Goldenberg, Alexandra Gurnee, Carly Hoshko, Ashleigh Jobson, Rachel Jordan, Laurel Laidlaw, Jou Lau, Meghan Powers, Shelby Reyes, Samantha Seikkula, Colleen Shaw, Shannon Simerly, Blaise Stanicic, and Christen Vagts. The ACC Honor Roll is comprised of student-athletes that participated in a varsity-level sport and registered a grade-point average of 3.00 or better for the full academic year.
