Tipping Off: After beating NC State by 24 points on Saturday and posting a 22-point win over Miami tonight, Maryland has back-to-back 20-plus point wins over ACC opponents for the first time since beating North Carolina 96-56 on Feb. 22, 2003 and defeating Clemson 91-52 on Feb. 25, 2003. The 4-1 start in the ACC is Maryland's best since opening 6-1 in conference play in 2002-03.

Winning Big at Home: Over the last two contests, the Terps have posted two of their six largest margins of victory in an ACC game at Comcast Center.

Forcing Turnovers: Maryland attempted more than twice as many shots as Miami in the first half, greatly due to turnovers. The Terps went 17 of 35 from the field in the first half, while Miami went 8 of 16. Maryland, which entered tonight's game leading the league in turnover margin (+4.4), turned the ball over four times compared to Miami's 14 in the first half. Miami finished the game with 17 turnovers while the Terps finished with 11.

Balancing Act: Maryland again used a balanced scoring attack en route to a big win. Four Terps finished in double-figure scoring: Greivis Vasquez and Landon Milbourne (16); Eric Hayes and Sean Mosley (10); while three players narrowly missed double-figures in scoring: Adrian Bowie (9); Jordan Williams and Dino Gregory (8). It was the third straight game the trio of Vasquez, Milbourne and Mosley have scored in double figures and the seventh time this season.

Shut Down: Miami came into the game averaging 75.7 points per game on .475 shooting from the field, but against Maryland scored just 59 points on .383 shooting. The Terps have held their last four opponents under .400 shooting from the field (Boston College .368; Longwood .294; NC State .364). Miami also entered the game leading the conference in 3-point field goals made per game (8.3), but made just four tonight.

More from Milbourne: Milbourne led the Terps in first-half scoring for the second straight game, going for 13 points on 6 of 8 shooting from the field. Milbourne finished the game with 16 points on 7 of 10 shooting, and over the past three games is shooting .700 from the field (21 of 30). The senior also contributed five rebounds and one assist.

Vasquez Now Sixth: With 16 points, Vasquez moved into sixth place on Maryland's career scoring list, passing Lonny Baxter (1999-2002), who had 1,858 in his career. Vasquez has 1,863 in his career. The senior narrowly missed a double-double, tallying nine assists.

Hot Shooting: Maryland shot above .500 for the second straight game. The Terps finished .537 against NC State, and shot .509 against Miami. The Terps also continued to shoot well from 3-point range, going 7 of 15 (.467) against Miami. In ACC play, Maryland has shot .625 against FSU; .444 at Wake Forest; .583 at BC;.462 vs. NC State.

Tidbits: The Terps have been dominant down low over the past four games, outscoring opponents in the paint 180-76. Maryland held a 42-20 advantage over Miami in the paint... Maryland's 32-point lead (76-44 with 7:53 left in the second half) was its largest over an ACC opponent this season (previously 86-59 over NC State)... Miami entered the game with a +6.6 rebounding margin, but the Terps won the battle on the boards 35-29. Maryland has now outrebounded its opponent in seven of the last eight games... Miami's 17 turnovers were the most it has committed in an ACC game this season.

Game Trends: Maryland scored its first 14 points in the paint...the first points outside the lane were on a 3-pointer by Eric Hayes with 12:35 left in the first half.
- When Dwayne Collins' dunk with 10:29 left in the first half brought Miami within six points at 20-14, Maryland went on a 12-3 run over 2:47 to extend its lead to 32-17.
- The Terps had nearly as many offensive rebounds (10) in the first half as Miami did total rebounds (11). Maryland held a 17-11 overall edge on the boards at the break.
- The 17-point lead at halftime was Maryland's largest over an ACC opponent at halftime this season (previously 41-27 lead over Florida State). The 48 points scored in the first half were also the most against an ACC opponent (previously 47 in second half vs. NC State).
- Miami shot 8 of 16 in the first half (.500), but just 10 of 31 in the second half (.323).
