Team Records and Series Notes
•Maryland improves to 3-1 while American falls to 2-2. The Terps lead the all-time series over the Eagles, 11-1.
• Maryland will continue its out-of-conference play Friday when it travels to East Carolina in Greenville, N.C. at 6:30 p.m. ET.

Team Game Notes
•Line-up: Anjale Barrett, Lynetta Kizer, Natasha Cloud, Diandra Tchatchouang and Alyssa Thomas. This lineup improves to 1-0.
•The Terps opened the game with a 23-3 run against the Eagles and started the second half just as strong with a 20-3 run.
•With the win, Coach Brenda Frese earned her 200th career win at Maryland. Frese
•Three Terps finished in double figures Sunday. Alyssa Thomas posted a team-high 16 points, junior Lynetta Kizer had 12 and Anjela Barrett had 11.
•The Terps outrebounded the Eagles 40-29. Maryland has controlled the boards in all four games this season.
•Coach Frese went 13 players deep for the second consecutive game. Eleven of whom scored.
•As a team, Maryland recorded 15 steals and dished out 19 assists to American's four steals and nine assists. •Allowing only 52 points by American, Maryland's defense has held its opponents under 60 in all four games this season.

Individual Game Notes
•Freshman Alyssa Thomas led the Terps with a career-high 16 points. Making just her fourth career start, Thomas also brought in seven rebounds, four steals one assist and one block.
•Junior Lynetta Kizer scored 12 points for Maryland and tied Thomas' seven boards for most in the game.
•Junior Anjale Barrett recorded 11 points and went three for four from three-point range.
•Freshman Natasha Cloud dished out a game-high seven assists for Maryland.
• Walk-on freshman Sequoia Austin recorded her first career points on a three-point shot in the final two minutes of the second half.
