Tipping Off: Maryland (5-2) picked up its second straight win, with both coming at home ... the Terps will not return to Comcast Center until Dec. 8 (vs. UNC Greensboro) where they are 5-0 this season ... tonight marked the 14th-straight victory at Comcast Center and the Terps have lost at home just once in the last 21 games ... Maryland had lost its previous two games this season when trailing at the half.
Doubling Up: After being held below double figures in both scoring and rebounding Tuesday vs. Delaware State, Jordan Williams (24 points/13 rebounds) notched his 13th career double-double, including fifth of the season. The 24 points were just two off his career-high 26 vs. College of Charleston (11/10/10). Williams had 20 of the team's 45 second-half points.
Double-Figure Scoring: After scoring nine points in each of the first four games of the season, Adrian Bowie has hit double figures in back-to-back games. Bowie had 11 points Tuesday vs. Delaware State and a season-high 14 points vs. Elon. He has connected on 8 of 17 field-goal attempts over the last two games. He also Cliff Tucker had a game-high15 points for Maryland on 6-of-7 shooting, and the senior has scored in double figures in all six of Maryland's games this year.
Tidbits: The Terps blocked a season-high 11 shots, including a career-high four by Jordan Williams ... Adrian Bowie had a career-high tying seven assists. It marked the fourth time in his career he has reached seven assists ... the Terps held the Phoenix to 25 percent shooting from the floor (9-for-36) in the second half, the lowest single-half output by an opponent this season ... Maryland held Elon to 23 second-half points, the second-lowest single-half tally by a foe this year (21 by Delaware State, first half) ... after the turning the ball over 10 times in the first half, Maryland had just three in the second half ... the Terps had 49 rebounds, just one off their season high (vs. Seattle, 11/8).
