Tipping Off: Maryland fell to 7-4 (0-1 ACC) this season with its 79-75 loss to Boston College ... the Terps trail the all-time series 7-6 ... Maryland had won 27 straight games when leading at halftime before Sunday's loss ... the Terps had a 15-game winning streak at home snapped.
Doubling Up...Again: Jordan Williams entered the game tied for the national lead in double-doubles and notched his ninth of the season against BC with 27 points and 13 rebounds. The 27 points are a career high. Williams also entered the game leading the ACC in field goal percentage (.567) and made 12 of 16 against the Eagles (75 percent).
Freshman Marksman: Terrell Stoglin again provided a scoring punch for the Terrapins. A game after scoring a career-high 18 points against UNC Greensboro, Stoglin chipped in 14 against BC. It is his seventh game in double figures and fourth straight (14.5 in last 4).
Field goal percentage defense: Maryland entered the game second in the ACC in FG percentage defense (.372) and 3-point FG percentage defense (.288), but allowed BC to shoot .483 overall and .448 from 3-point range.
Good Distribution: Adrian Bowie notched a career-high tying seven assists without committing a turnover. In the last five games Bowie has 26 assists and only eight turnovers (3.25 ratio). The Terps, who are second in the conference with 15.8 assists per game, had 19 assists as a team.
Career Best From Gregory: Dino Gregory matched his career high with 14 points on 6-of-8 shooting (also against Delaware St., 11/23) and had three blocks (team-high 19 on the season). Gregory has at least one block in nine of 11 games this year.
Tidbits: The game featured 11 ties and 16 lead changes (there have been an average of nine lead changes in Maryland's four losses this year, as the Terps are playing close in those games) ... Maryland had 10 offensive rebounds in the first half but just one in the second ... Maryland's nine turnovers matched a season low (also against Pittsburgh, 11/18).
