Terps at NC State Tonight

Feb. 17, 2010

RALEIGH, N.C. - Maryland continues a snow-induced run of seemingly back-to-back games with a trip to NC State for a rematch with the Wolfpack. The Terps are in the third game of a stretch that has them playing three games in five days and four games in eight days (including Saturday's home game with Georgia Tech).

The game, which will tip-off at 9 p.m., will be televised locally by Comcast SportsNet-Plus. Comcast SportsNet will join the game in progress after the completion of the Wizards telecast.

The game can also be heard across the Terrapin Sports Radio Network, including Baltimore flagships WJZ-FM (105.7), WJZ-AM (1300). Pregame on the network begins at 8 p.m.

In Washington, D.C., the game will be heard on WGTB-FM (94.7). For a complete D.C. affiliate radio schedule please click on this link. Additionally, all game radio broadcasts can be heard on umterps.com by clicking the "TerpsTV" link.

  • Maryland, which is 9-3 since the calendar changed to 2010, is back on court after its 85-66 win over Virginia on Monday at Comcast Center. The Monday game was a makeup after the Terps and Cavaliers were snowed out on Feb. 10. Maryland has won three of four and seven of nine.

  • The Terps are in third place in the Atlantic Coast Conference standings with a 7-3 record, 1.5 games behind league-leading Duke. Virginia Tech is now in second at 8-3 after posting its fifth straight win last night with a triumph at home over Wake Forest. A Terp win tonight would move Maryland into a tie with the Hokies for second place in the league. NC State comes into tonight's game having lost four straight and in 12th place in the league.

  • Senior guard Greivis Vasquez had another stellar performance on Monday against Virginia. He hit 10 of 13 shots from the floor on his way to 25 first-half points, and ended the game with 30. It was his second 30-point effort of the season and the fourth of his career.

  • Vasquez is now 31 points from becoming the sixth player in Maryland history with 2,000 points. Should he reach that milestone, he would be the only player in ACC history with 2,000 career points, 700 career assists and 600 career rebounds.
