CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - Sophomore Ginny Glover placed third in the 200 free to lead Maryland on day three of the 2010 ACC Women's Swimming and Diving Championships.
Glover captured a B-cut performance in her 200 free swim Friday night (1:46.55). Senior Laura Wright finished 20th (1:49.32).
Junior Annie Fittin just barely missed the podium once again Friday night, touching the wall fourth (53.06) in the 100 back. Maryland picked up major points in the event as Megan Lafferty (55.09), Jackie Davidson (55.24) and Patty DeScenza (55.99) finished 13th, 14th, and 15th, respectively, in the B-finals.
Jen Vogel finished fifth in the 100 fly, with a B-cut time of 53.92. DeScenza finished tenth behind her fellow captain, with a B-cut 54.36. Freshman Addie Koelle took 13th (54.93).

The 400 medley relay squad comprised of Glover, Hamilton, Vogel and Wright finished fifth with a B-cut time of 3:41.81.
The Terps roll into the final day of the championships in fifth place with 253 points, 13.5 points-shy of fourth-place Virginia Tech.
