Tipping Off: Maryland improved to 14-1 this season at Comcast Center with an 88-79 comeback win over Clemson. The Terps improved to 20-7, including 10-3 in the Atlantic Coast Conference, just one game behind first-place Duke. Maryland achieved its 12th 20-win season under the leadership of Gary Williams.

Moving On Up: When Greivis Vasquez scored his fifth point tonight, he moved into fourth place on Maryland's career scoring list. The senior passed John Lucas (2,015 points; 1973-76) and Adrian Branch (2,017; 1982-85) and now has 2,028 points in his career. The basket that allowed Vasquez to pass Branch for fourth gave Maryland a 70-67 lead with 7:26 to play. Vasquez also matched a season-high with 13 assists (previously vs. Charleston Southern, 11/13), including eight in the first half.

Fast Start: Sean Mosley scored Maryland's first seven points by making all three of his field goal attempts in the opening 1:48. The sophomore finished with a game-high 20 points on 6 of 8 shooting (2-3 3-point), while hitting 6 of 7 free throws.

Steady Hayes: Eric Hayes gave Maryland another consistent game. The senior led the Terps with 12 first-half points on 5-of-8 shooting, including 2 of 2 from 3-point range. He finished the game with 15 points and chipped in three assists while not committing a single turnover.

Double-Figure Scoring: The Terps were led to victory by four players scoring in double figures, marking the 14th time this season at least four Terps have scored in double figures in a game. Mosley led Maryland with 20, Jordan Williams had 18, while Hayes and Vasquez contributed 15 each.

Tidbits: As a team, Maryland assisted on 20 of 32 field goals... Landon Milbourne tied a season-high with three blocks... Maryland has shot better than 50 percent in four of the last five halves... Maryland achieved its third-best 3-point shooting percentage of the season this evening, .615 (.625 vs. FSU; .667 vs. Winston-Salem State)... Williams has grabbed at least five rebounds in 26 of 27 games this season.

Game Trends: The teams got off to a fast start, combining for 29 points before the first TV timeout (15:14)... Both teams shot 50 percent from the field in the first half (Maryland 17 of 34; Clemson 18 of 36)... Eight 3-point field goals helped Clemson lead 48-39 at the break... The Terps controlled the paint in the first half, outscoring the Tigers 24-16 and held a 42-30 advantage in the game... Maryland held Clemson to just .364 shooting in the second half, including just .214 shooting from 3-point range.
