COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland gymnastics team, ranked No. 31 nationally, won Penn's quad meet Friday night with its score of 194.450. Three Terps won events to help claim the three wins.

"The team did a great job tonight pulling out a good score in our final regular season away meet," head coach Brett Nelligan said.

Freshman Ally Krikorian won vault with her score of 9.900, which was the Terrapins' highest of the meet. Sophomore Kyra Phillips was right behind her with a 9.800, putting her in a tie for second. Freshman Kesley Cofsky was third with a 9.775. The team scored a 48.675 on vault.

On bars, junior Kaitlyn Joseph had the Terps' high score with her 9.850. Her career-high score won her the event and helped give the Terrapins a 48.750 - their highest bar score of the year. Cofsky wasn't far behind Joseph with her 9.825, which put her in second for the event, and senior Brandi George earned a 9.750.

"We put Kaitlin in some tough spots in the line-up where we really needed a big score, she came through for us in a big way," Nelligan said.

On floor, senior Michele Brenner shined with a 9.875, giving her the floor title of the night. George and Krikorian tied for second with scores of 9.800. Phillips scored 9.775. The team earned a floor score of 48.875.

"Ally is just such an explosive gymnast, her vault and floor routine really blew everyone away tonight," Nelligan said.

The Terrapins will host a tri-meet Tuesday evening with East Atlantic Gymnastics League opponents North Carolina and George Washington heading to College Park. The meet will begin at 7 p.m. at Comcast Center. This is the rescheduled meet for the meet that was postponed on Feb. 5.
