Bidding Farewell: Tonight marked the final home game for four seniors - Greivis Vasquez, Landon Milbourne, Eric Hayes and Jerome Burney - that have made tremendous contributions over the past four seasons. The class will leave Maryland as one of the most prolific in school history, as Vasquez, Milbourne and Hayes have over 1,000 points in their career.
Hayes could likely finish as the most accurate free-throw shooters in Maryland history and is in the top 10 in school history in 3-point shooting and assists.
Earlier this season, Milbourne became the 49th Terrapin in history to score 1,000 points in a career and is currently 13th on the school's all-time blocks list.
Vasquez will finish in the top 10 in 10 different categories, including points, assists and steals. He is the only player in ACC history to record 2,000 points, 700 assists and 600 rebounds in a career.
Bowie Provides Boost: Adrian Bowie provided Maryland much-needed scoring in the second half. He had five points during a crucial 10-2 run that helped Maryland briefly regain the lead, 54-49, with 11:11 left. The junior finished with nine points on 4-of-4 shooting.
One Last Game: Vasquez led Maryland with 20 points, including 13 in the second half. The senior made 6 of 13 shots on the night, including 6-for-6 shooting from the free-throw line. Vasquez has made 30 consecutive free throws dating back to the game against NC State (2/17).
Freshman Sensation: Jordan Williams recorded his sixth double-double of the season. He finished second on the team with 15 points and led Maryland with 11 rebounds. The freshman also contributed three blocks.
Tidbits: Maryland outscored Duke 38-26 in the paint... The Terps also had an advantage in fast-break points, 9-0.
Game Trends: Maryland opened the game on a 7-0 run, thanks to an Eric Hayes layup on the game's first possession, two Vasquez free throws and a 3-pointer by Vasquez.
The Terps hit eight of their first 13 shots while limiting to Duke to just 3-of-13 shooting and held a 21-8 lead at the under-12:00 TV timeout (11:43).
Sean Mosley's 3-pointer with 6:07 left in the first half gave Maryland a 14-point lead, its largest of the game.
Maryland outrebounded Duke 19-13 in the first half, including a 5-3 advantage in offensive boards.
