Famous Alumni Return for Maryland Madness

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The annual men's basketball alumni game at Maryland Madness has taken a turn for the outstanding, as a number of members from the 2002 NCAA National Championship team are expected to play.
The 40th anniversary of Maryland Madness begins on Friday, Oct. 14 at 9:30 p.m. The alumni game is now set for 10:30 p.m., with introduction of the current women's and men's teams scheduled for 11 p.m.
Comcast SportsNet will air live coverage of Maryland Madness from 10:30 p.m. to 12 a.m., which will be led by Chick Hernandez, Christy Winters Scott and Chris Knoche.
Scheduled to appear in Friday's alumni game are Juan Dixon, Steve Blake, Chris Wilcox, Byron Mouton and Mike Grinnon. The game will help celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Terps' national championship.
Other alumni, including Steve Francis, Greivis Vasquez, Jerrod Mustaf, Dave Neal, Eric Hayes and Johnny Rhodes, are also expected to play.
Maryland Madness will also feature scrimmages by both current squads, as well as performances by the spirit squad, dance team, pep band and Maryland Gymkana.
No tickets are needed for this event, which is free to the public. Doors will open at 9 p.m.
