Terps Head to ACC Media Day

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Visit www.umterps.com and theACC.com on Wednesday to get the early scoop on the 2011-12 ACC basketball season at the 50th annual ACC Operation Basketball.
Maryland has sent head coach Mark Turgeon, along with seniors Sean Mosley and Berend Weijs to have all-day visits with the media.
In its annual poll, the media voted the Terps to finish ninth. With 57 first-place votes of the 59 cast, North Carolina was the pick to win the league, followed by Duke and Florida State.
Maryland freshman Nick Faust received one vote in balloting for the ACC Rookie of the Year.
Coaches will visit the ESPN Regional studios in Charlotte in the morning, with players going in the afternoon. There will be interviews throughout the day with players and coaches on the ESPN family of networks.
Mosley and Weijs will be live on theACC.com for interviews at 9 a.m., while Turgeon is scheduled on the same website at 2 p.m.
