COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland swimming and diving continued its dominance on day two of the Terp Cup, leading on both the men's and women's side Friday.

The Terrapin women have 956 points, over 500 more than second place Towson while the men have mustered 905.5, a 203-point difference from NC State.

The women started similarly to Thursday as the 200 medley relay (Ginny Glover, Laura Flewelling, Megan Lafferty, Carolyn Fittin) won with a season-best mark of 1:40.80. The Terps concluded with another first place relay finish from Fittin, Jennifer Roberts, Victoria Cassidy, and Glover in the 800 free relay (7:19.16).

The Terps were dominant in the 100 fly with Lafferty (53.56), Addison Koelle (53.75), Fittin (54.47), Roberts (54.50), and Meggie Schmidt (56.73) went 1, 2, 3, 4, and 8 in the event.

Glover captured the 200 free (1:46.58) and Erin Stout (1:53.10) was seventh. Cassidy won the 400 IM (4:14.43) and Martha VanLieshout took sixth (4:30.12). Alexa Hamilton was first in the 100 breast (1:02.62) with Flewelling (1:02.75), Amy Halligan (1:03.38), and Ashley Cox (1:05.82) going 2-3-7.

Lafferty picked up her second win of the night in the 100 back (54.43). Glover (54.72), Koelle (54.94), Roberts (55.44), Elena Donald (55.63) and Melanie Busch (55.76) swept the next five positions, respectively.

Alisa Kurbatova won the 3-meter dive (320.45) and Jessica Whelan was second (289.50).

On the men's side, the Terps picked up their first win on the relay side with a victory in the 200 medley (Matt Meserlole, Anderson Sloan, Jeff Winters, and John Hauser - 1:29.60). The Terps took second with the team of Hauser, Relihan, Stewart, and Dillon (6:41.04) in the 800 free relay.

Relihan won the 400 IM (3:57.27). Ryan Magee (4:04.10) and Matthew Tynan (4:09.39) finished fifth and sixth, respectively.

Winters (48.49) and Stewart (49.74) captured top-three finishes in the 100 fly at second and third. Kyle Madley (50.30) and Meserole (51.71) were sixth and eighth. Hauser was second in the 200 free (1:38.01). Colin Stang won the 100 breast (56.11) while Sloan (56.55), David Speese (56.88), Relihan (57.18), Raymond Cswerko (57.64) rounded out Maryland's showing in the 100 breast at 3-4-6-8.

Bradley Dillon won the 100 back (49.53) with Meserole (49.57), Alex Spina (50.71), and Madley (50.84) finishing second, fourth and fifth, respectively.

Maryland resumes action Saturday morning at 10 a.m. in preliminary action.
