Storyline

Maryland returns to Comcast Center for a Sunday Night Hoops matchup with NC State. The Terrapins are 16-10 overall and 5-6 in the Atlantic Coast Conference and are seeking to move up from seventh in the league standings. The Terrapins are only one game behind Boston College for fifth place.

The matchup with the Wolfpack is the only one of the regular season for the Terrapins. Maryland has won seven straight games in the series, including both matchups a year ago.

Maryland's scoring has been more balanced over the past three games. Terrell Stoglin had a season-high 25 points on Tuesday at Virginia Tech, including a 10-for-10 effort at the free-throw line. He led five Terrapins in double figures in Blacksburg. Stoglin's game at Virginia Tech moved him back into double figures in scoring average this year at 10.1 points per game.

Stoglin, Pe'Shon Howard and Dino Gregory have scored in double figures in each of the last three games for the Terrapins. Gregory has scored at least eight points in each of the last eight games.

With three blocked shots against the Hokies, Gregory became only the 12th player in Maryland history to record 100 blocks in his career. He accomplished the milestone in his 100th game as a Terrapin.

Sophomore center Jordan Williams continues to lead the ACC in double-doubles with 20. Having already set the school record with 12 consecutive double-doubles earlier this season, Williams is chasing the 22 set by Len Elmore in the 1974 season.
