Terps Fall At Florida State, 84-70

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Terrell Stoglin led Maryland with 27 points and Nick Faust scored all 10 of his points in the second half, but Maryland fell at Florida State 84-70 Tuesday night.

Michael Snaer scored 19 points and Ian Miller had 18 to lead the Seminoles (12-6, 3-1 ACC). Bernard James added 17 points.

Maryland (12-5, 2-2) had won three straight in the series and stayed close to the Seminoles for much of the game, heading into halftime trailing by just three.

Stoglin opened the second stanza with a 3-pointer to tie it at 36, and knotted it again at 40 moments later on another 3. Alex Len gave Maryland its first lead by knocking down a jumper with 17:18 remaining, but Deividas Dulkys keyed a Florida State run with a pair of 3-pointers to help the Seminoles take a 61-45 lead.

Maryland, which had won nine of its last 10 games coming into Tuesday night, shot 50 percent (24 of 48). Stoglin was 8 of 17 (4 of 9 3PT) and 7 of 8 at the free throw line to record his 12th 20-point game of the season.
