KISSIMMEE, Fla. - The Maryland softball team held off Marshall, 2-1, Sunday afternoon to go 4-1 on the weekend in the ESPN Citrus Classic at Disney's Wide World of Sports complex.

Senior Kendra Knight started in the circle for the Terrapins (10-2). After allowing a leadoff walk, the runner advanced around the bases and eventually stole home for Marshall's lone run of the game.

The Terrapins took the 2-1 lead over Marshall (7-7) in the bottom of the third. Vangie Galindo drew a two-out walk, then Bree Hanafin singled to center to move her to third. Hanafin stole second, then Nikki Maier was intentionally walked. Freshman Shannon Bustillos then reached on a Herd error to score both Galindo and Hanafin.
