CLEARWATER, Fla. - The Maryland softball team fell to Florida A&M 9-0 Sunday afternoon in its final game in the USF Tournament this weekend.

Bree Hanafin led with two hits and Lexi Carroll added one as well.

Senior Kendra Knight started in the circle for the Terrapins and pitched 3.2 innings. She allowed eight hits and struck out three.

The Rattlers took a 5-0 lead in the top of the second off of a bases loaded single and a triple later in the inning. They added four more runs in the top of the fourth and started off after two Terrapin errors. A sac fly, and two base hits made it 9-0 Rattlers.

The Terrapins fell to the Netherlands national team 6-0 in an exhibition game later in the day.

Next, the Terps will play a doubleheader at Florida Gulf Coast Wednesday beginning at 5 p.m. in Fort Myers, Fla.
