Blake Butera lined an RBI single to right field in the bottom of the 12th inning to lead Boston College past Maryland, 5-4, Saturday at Shea Field.
The game began on Friday night, but was halted in the bottom of the ninth inning at 4-4 due to darkness.
The Terrapins built a bit of momentum in the final innings prior to the game's postponement, scoring three runs on just two hits in the seventh, eighth and ninth innings to overcome an early three-run deficit.
Jordan Hagel began Maryland's rally in the seventh with a home run to left, while Michael Montville and Kyle Convissar used sacrifice flies in the eighth and ninth to draw the Terps even, 4-4.
Brett Harman pitched seven strong innings for Maryland (17-11, 2-9 ACC), but was tagged for four runs in the second after giving up a grand slam to Boston College catcher Matt Pare.
Boston College (12-14, 4-7), meanwhile, used five pitchers to hold the Terrapins to just three earned runs. Nick Poore earned the win, pitching all three innings on Saturday for the Eagles.
Hagel led the Terps with three hits and an RBI, while Tim Kiene notched a pair of singles and a run.
