Nate Watkins Bio

Nate Watkins begins his first season as an undergraduate assistant coach with the Terps. Watkins had a breakout season in 2002 as he posted career highs in every offensive category and was named an honorable mention USILA All-American.

Watkins, who served as a senior captain in 2002, was tied for the team lead in goals with 24 and added seven assists seven assists for 31 points. He had eight multi-goal games as he closed his career with a career-high six goals vs. Yale (4/26) on Senior Night at Byrd Stadium.

Overall, Watkins played in 59 games as a Terp Midfielder and scored 37 goals and totaled 49 points in four years of action.

He graduated from Horseheads High School in Elmira, N.Y. He won a gold medal at the U-19 World Championships as a member of Team USA along with Terps Dan and Mike LaMonica.

Watkins is pursuing his degree in agricultural and resource economics at Maryland.
