Coaches Quotes
Maryland Coach Gary Williams:
(On the early schedule): "We did a great job in our approach to these first three games. It is very positive that we have gotten off to good starts, a lot of good teams haven't."
(On Sarunas Jasikevicius): "Sarunas has earned the starting spot, from the first day of practice on. He knows how to compete. I'm really proud of him."
(On things to work on): "Some of the things we need to work on are free throw shooting and stopping dribble penetration without fouling."
Chicago State Coach Phil Gary:
(On Maryland): "Maryland is a very good team. We really didn't care who we started. We just tried to come out and compete.
"This was a big learning experience. Some of our guys had never been on a plane before. We were overwhelmed."
