Williams' career is nothing short of extraordinary: Fourteen NCAA tournament appearances, three ACC regular season titles, ACC tournament championships, seven Sweet Sixteens, two Elite Eights, two Final Fours, and the National Championship in 2002. He was the National Coach of the Year in 2002, and ACC Coach of the Year in 2002 and 2010.
Last year, Williams was elected to the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame and was also voted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame—the first coach ever to be inducted into both institutions in the same year.
Attorney and sportscaster Phil Hochberg moderates what should be a fast-paced conversation with Williams, UMD play-by-play announcer Johnny Holliday, and Rich Chvotkin, voice of the Georgetown Hoyas.
