COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The Maryland men's soccer program captured the No. 10 overall seed and will play host to the winner of Virginia and Rider on Sunday at 5 p.m. at Ludwig Field in the second round of the 2015 NCAA Men's Soccer Championship.
Maryland (10-5-5) captured its fourth-straight conference tournament crown when it upended top-seeded Ohio State, 2-0, in Columbus on Sunday afternoon. Goalkeeper Cody Niedermeier and midfielder Tsubasa Endoh were named Most Valuable Defensive and Offensive Player of the tournament, respectively. Eryk Williamson joined the duo on the all-tournament team. The rookie forward has four goals in the last four games.
The Terps are headed to the tournament for a 15th consecutive season.
