COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Head coach Mark Turgeon and the Maryland Basketball program hosted its Friends of Maryland Basketball (FOMB) luncheon on Thursday afternoon at the University of Maryland Golf Course.
The one-hour luncheon, with 125 Maryland supporters, featured a question and answer session with Turgeon and opportunity to visit the Terps' coaching staff.
In his fourth season with the Terps, Turgeon has led Maryland to a 23-5 record – the last win a 59-53 win over No. 5 Wisconsin on Tuesday to improve its mark to 17-1 at the XFINITY Center.
During the afternoon Q&A session, Turgeon lauded the tremendous support and energy from Terp fans.
“The fans have been terrific,” Turgeon shared. “We have had four home games this season that they helped played a huge role in helping us win - Northwestern, Penn State, Nebraska and Wisconsin – because of the unbelievable energy at XFINITY Center.”
The Terps will host Michigan on Senior Day on Saturday at noon.
