
Terps Head To JMU Invitational, Friday?s Games Cancelled

COLLEGE PARK, Md.— After taking two games this past weekend, the Maryland softball team heads back to the diamond for a three-game stint against Rhode Island, Stony Brook and James Madison in the JMU Invitational. Due to weather, Friday's two games have been cancelled.
Last weekend at the Citrus Classic, the Terps (12-8, 0-0 Big Ten) won two games, including one in nine innings against Fordham and a 10-0 victory, the largest margin of the season, against Northern Iowa. The team dropped a mid-week matchup with #17 UCF in walk-off fashion.
This Weekend on the Diamond
Due to inclement weather, Friday's two games against Rhode Island and St. John's have been cancelled. Saturday and Sunday's match-ups will be played as scheduled. All games listed are part of the JMU Invitational and will be played at Veterans Memorial Park on Harrisonburg, Va.

- Bria Green leads the SeaWolves with a .355 batting average, driving in 11 RBIs and three home runs.
- The meeting marks the third all-time match-up between Maryland and Stony Brook. The teams have split the previous two games, for a 1-1 series record.
Scouting James Madison
- The Dukes sit at 7-5 on the season and are currently receiving votes in the latest USA Today/NFCA Coaches poll.
- Last time out, the Dukes went 2-1 in the Citrus Classic. The team picked up wins over #13 Minnesota and Penn State.
- JMU qualified for the 2014 NCAA Tournament.
- Megan Good leads the Dukes from the mound, with a .93 ERA and 39 strikeouts in 30 innings pitched.

Looking Ahead
- After spending the first month of the season on the road, the Terps return home for the GW/UMD Capital Invite. The Terps will head to George Washington on Friday, before returning to the Maryland Softball Stadium for three games against Lafayette and Princeton.
