
FOMB Celebrates Terp Basketball at Congressional

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Friends of Maryland Basketball (FOMB) hosted its annual end-of-the-year dinner last week at the majestic Congressional Golf Course to celebrate the 2014-15 season.
Stan Goldstein, president of FOMB, welcomed 150 guests by sharing a myriad of the team and individual accolades accomplished in the men's basketball inaugural season in the Big Ten.
Longtime Maryland basketball radio analyst Chris Knoche hosted the two-hour dinner and shared exciting and memorable moments from the 2014-15 season.
Knoche introduced Terps' head coach Mark Turgeon. who received a standing ovation from the FOMB supporters.
Smiling at the podium with a photo collage to the left of him, Turgeon introduced his coaching and support staff and thanked the FOMB supporters for their commitment and dedication to the program..
“It was a very special year,” Turgeon said. “I had a great group that I enjoyed being around each and every day. We will have another great group this year and a lot to look forward to.”
