
#13 Terps Set for Rematch with #4 Notre Dame

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The No. 13 Maryland men's soccer team will face No. 4 Notre Dame in a rematch of the 2013 national title game on Friday at 5 p.m. in the adidas/IU Credit Union Classic in Bloomington, Ind.

• Maryland went 2-1 in the preseason with exhibition wins over Loyola and Providence. The Terps are seeking a fourth-consecutive conference double in 2015.
League Supremacy
• Maryland has won three consecutive regular season and tournament championships heading into the 2015 campaign.
• Mael Corboz scored on a top-shelf, free kick from 25 yards to give the University of Maryland its first-ever Big Ten Tournament championship with a 2-1 victory against Indiana at Ludwig Field.
• The Terps won their third-straight conference title on Maryland soil after capturing the 2012 and 2013 Atlantic Coast Conference tournament crowns in Germantown.

Three Terps Tabbed Big Ten Players to Watch
• Seniors Mael Corboz and Tsubasa Endoh and junior Chris Odoi-Atsem were tabbed to the Big Ten Players to Watch list.
Corboz, a senior midfielder, was named the Big Ten Tournament Most Valuable Offensive Player after guiding the Terps to their first-ever Big Ten tournament crown.
• Corboz was also a First Team All-Big Ten pick after leading the league in goals scored (10).
• Endoh, despite an injury-shortened season, started in all 16 games he appeared in after being named a Big Ten Conference Player to Watch in 2014. The midfielder tallied one goal against then-No. 3 Penn State and Hartwick and added a pair of assists.
• Odoi-Atsem was a First Team All-Big Ten selection as a sophomore last season after starting in 21 games and helping the defense secure nine shutouts.
Meet the new guys
• The Terps have 13 newcomers on this year's roster, including 11 freshmen. Rookies Connor Smith, Sebastian Elney, Amar Sejdic, DJ Reeves, Andrew Samuels, Jorge Calix, Eryk Williamson, Paul Bin, Aaron Franco, Diego Silva, and Dayne St. Clair join St. John's transfer Cody Albrecht and Eastern Florida JUCO standout Ivan Magalhaes on this year's squad.

• Notre Dame returns six starters in search of its third straight regular-season conference title. The Irish topped the Terps in the 2013 NCAA Championship game in the last outing between the two programs.
• The Irish were 12-5-4 a year ago and limited opponents to a mere 18 goals on the season.
• Maryland is 2-2-1 against the Irish all-time.
