#6/5 Terps Fall at Minnesota Thursday

Box Score

MINNEAPOLIS - Rasheed Sulaimon scored a career-high 28 points and Damonte Dodd added a career-best six blocks as the No. 6/5 Maryland men's basketball team fell to Minnesota, 68-63, at Williams Arena Thursday night.

The Terps (22-5, 10-4 B1G) held Minnesota to just 6-for-30 from the floor in the second half but couldn't recover from a first half that saw seven Gopher treys, eight Maryland turnovers and an 11-point deficit.

Dodd – who started in place of freshman center Diamond Stone – and Robert Carter added nine rebounds each. Jake Layman and Melo Trimble were the other Terps in double-figure scoring with 11 and 10 points, respectively.

It is the first time Maryland has lost back-to-back games since Feb. 24 and March 2 against Syracuse and Clemson in the 2013-14 campaign.

Maryland returns home for a game against Michigan on Sunday at 1 p.m. on CBS.
