
Steele Named National Rookie of the Week

BALTIMORE – Freshman attacker Caroline Steele of the No. 1 Maryland women's lacrosse team was named Inside Lacrosse's National Rookie of the Week, as announced by the publication Tuesday.
In two wins last week, Steele notched five points with three goals and two assists. She also picked up three ground balls and one draw control.
In an 18-3 rout of Rutgers, Steele scored a hat trick and tallied one assist.
The Severna Park, Md., native has started in every game for the Terps this season. She has 19 goals and four assists on the year, good for fifth on the team with 23 points.
Goalie Megan Taylor was named IL's Rookie of the Week last week.
The Terps travel to No. 11 Princeton Wednesday for a 7 p.m. game.
