
Smotrycz Joins Raptors Summer League Squad

TORONTO – The Toronto Raptors announced Thursday that former Maryland forward Evan Smotrycz will join its Summer League team.
Smotrycz, who played in 27 games as a senior with a pair of starts, led Maryland to a school record 26 regular season wins in the 2014-15 season. As a redshirt junior, he posted career highs in games played (31), starts (28), points (11.0) and rebounds (6.0).
Smotrycz spent his first professional season playing for Keravnos in Cyprus. He led the team in points (15.4), rebounds (7.2) and minutes per game (24.2).
Toronto opens Summer League play in Las Vegas on Friday, July 8 versus the Sacramento Kings at Cox Pavilion.
