
Maryland Named IWLCA Academic Honor Squad

COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The Maryland women's lacrosse team was announced as one of 83 Division I programs to earn IWLCA Zag Sports Academic Honor Squad honors, as announced by the organization Wednesday.
In order to qualify for this prestigious honor, programs had to post a 3.0 or higher team grade-point average for the academic year. The Terps hold a cumulative GPA of 3.175 and earned a 3.393 team GPA in the spring.
In June, 13 Terps earned All-Big Ten Academic honors, including Taylor Cummings, Taylor Hensh, Steff Holmes, Emily Kift, Theo Kwas, Julie LeGar, Annie Lynch, Alex McKay, Alice Mercer, Zoe Stukenberg, Morgan Torggler, Caroline Wannen and Megan Whittle.
Stukenberg earned the Elite 90 Award for the second straight season, given to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative GPA participating at the finals site for each of the NCAA's 90 championships. Stukenberg holds a 4.0 GPA as a biological sciences major and was also named a CoSIDA Academic All-American.
