
Taylor Named B1G Defensive Player of the Week

ROSEMONT, Ill. – After backlining the second-ranking Maryland women's lacrosse team in their 13-3 win over William & Mary, sophomore goalie Megan Taylor was named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week Tuesday.
Against the Tribe, Taylor made eight saves while allowing just three goals, good for a .727 save percentage. She also caused two turnovers and grabbed three ground balls.
Last season, Taylor was named Big Ten Goalie of the Year as just a freshman. She put up a 6.78 goals against average and a .471 save percentage. Taylor was also an WLCA All-Region pick.
This is the Glenelg, Md., native's second Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week honor in her career.
The Terps (1-0) take a short trip to Georgetown (0-1) Saturday at 1 p.m.
