COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Midfielder Kali Hartshorn was selected as the Inside Lacrosse National Rookie of the Week Tuesday.

In an 11-7 win over then-No. 11 Penn last Wednesday, Hartshorn scored a hat trick and tallied six draw controls and two ground balls.

In a 16-11 win at James Madison, the Allentown, N.J., native notched four points (3G, 1A) and grabbed five draw controls.

Hartshorn leads the Terps with 47 draw controls and is fourth on the team with 18 goals and 23 points.

This is Hartshorn's second time being named IL National Rookie of the Week. She was also named Big Ten Freshman of the Week Tuesday.

No. 1 Maryland (9-0) hosts third-ranked Florida (8-1) Wednesday at 2 p.m. on the Big Ten Network.
