COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- After a 3-0 weekend at the USA Baseball-Irish Classic, the Maryland baseball team returns to action with a midweek contest against William & Mary at 2 p.m., at Bob "Turtle" Smith Stadium Tuesday. LEADING IT OFF
• Maryland recorded three wins at the USA Baseball-Irish Classic in Cary, N.C., topping Notre Dame (4-3), No. 6 NC State (9-2) and Dayton (11-2). Maryland's win over NC State was its first over a top-10 team since its NCAA Regional clinching victory over UCLA in 2015.
• Sophomore second baseman Nick Dunn exploded for four hits and three RBIs in Maryland's victory over Dayton. Junior shortstop Kevin Smith added three hits and three RBIs.
• Maryland jumped on No. 6 NC State early and didn't look back in its biggest win of the season. Senior Madison Nickens and sophomore Marty Costes both slugged home runs.
• A ninth inning sac fly by sophomore Dan Maynard finished off a two-run last inning comeback to beat Notre Dame. Senior Brandon Gum reached base five times in the game.

PARSONS IN THE MIDWEEK
• Sophomore RHP Hunter Parsons makes his first start, and third appearance, of the season on Tuesday.
• Parsons made five starts last year and ended with a 3.50 ERA with a 36 innings pitched. He struck out 28 to 13 walks.
• The Fruitland, Md., native earned Big Ten Freshman of the Week honors one time in 2016 after a seven inning one-run, two hit performance against James Madison.
ON THE BASEPATHS
• After stealing just 28 bases in 57 games last season, Maryland has 17 in just nine games this season.
• Maryland stole six bags against Dayton, its first six-steal game since March 19, 2014 against UMBC.
