COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Maryland men's basketball junior guard Melo Trimble is the Terp of the Week after his sensational performances against Rutgers and Michigan State last week.
Trimble hit a game-winning three pointer with one second left on the clock against Michigan State on Saturday to give the Terps a 63-60 win, which locked up the No. 3 seed in this week's Big Ten Tournament.
The guard ended the game with a team-high 16 points and tied for a team-high six rebounds in the win. It was the 20th straight game where the Upper Marlboro, Md., native scored in double figures.
Trimble also led Maryland in its snapping of a three-game skid when the Terps knocked off Rutgers earlier in the week. His tallied 11 points and became the 14th player in Maryland Basketball history to record 1,600 points in his career.
