Stukenberg Tabbed CoSIDA Academic All-District

COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Senior midfielder Zoe Stukenberg was named to the 2017 Academic All-District Women's At-Large team Thursday, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America.

A biological sciences major with a 4.00 grade-point average, Stukenberg was chosen as one of 10 female student-athletes in Division I selected to the District 2 team. The Ellicott City, Md., native has won the last two Elite 90 Awards as the student with the highest GPA competing at the NCAA finals site.

A co-captain for the Terps, Stukenberg has helped Maryland to a 19-0 record, the Big Ten regular season and tournament titles and the No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament. Earlier Thursday, she was named one of five finalists for the Tewaaraton Award. Stukenberg was named to the All-Big Ten and Big Ten All-Tournament teams and was selected as Big Ten Midfielder of the Year.

The Academic All-District teams are divided into eight geographic districts across the United States and Canada. First-team honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America Team ballot, where first-, second- and third-team All-America honorees will be selected later this month.

The women's at-large program includes athletes from bowling, crew, fencing, field hockey, golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, rifle, skiing, tennis and water polo.
