COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- The top-seeded Maryland women's lacrosse team (22-0) battles Boston College (17-6) for the NCAA Championship Sunday at 11 a.m. at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass.

• The Terps-Eagles game will be aired on ESPNU with a SkyCam stream available on ESPN3.

• For fans traveling to the game, parking is included with ticket purchase. Gillette Stadium has a clear bag policy.

• Sophomore midfielder Jen Giles set a career high with eight points (4G, 4A) as the Terps cruised past Penn State, 20-10, in the NCAA semifinal Friday.

• Senior midfielder Zoe Stukenberg had five points (3G, 2A) while freshman attacker Kali Hartshorn and junior attacker Taylor Hensh each had four goals.

• Hartshorn helped the Terps dominated in draw controls as she tied her career high with nine. Maryland held a 22-10 advantage in draws.

• Sophomore goalie Megan Taylor finished with 10 saves vs. the Nittany Lions.

TOURNEY TERPS

• The Terps lead the nation with 33 NCAA appearances and are also tops in wins (67), championship game appearances (21) and NCAA titles (12).

• Maryland is making its 28th consecutive appearance in the postseason (1990-2017) this season. 

• The Terrapins have made nine straight Final Fours (2009-17) and captured three titles in that time (2010, 14, 15).

• Maryland is competing in its fifth straight NCAA Championship game.

• All four coaches competing in the NCAA Championship this weekend have ties to the Maryland women's lacrosse program.

• Navy head coach Cindy Timchal coaches the Terps from 1991-2006, winning eight national titles in that span.

• Maryland head coach Cathy Reese ('98), Penn State head coach Missy Doherty ('97) and Boston College head coach Acacia Walker ('05) all played lacrosse at Maryland under Timchal.

SCOUTING THE boston college eagles

• Boston College defeated Navy, 16-15, to advance in the NCAA semifinals. Kenzie Kent scored five goals for the Eagles.

• Sam Apuzzo leads the Eagles with 76 goals, 39 assists and 115 points. Kate Weeks is also past the 100-point mark with 103. In just 11 games, Kent has 34 goals and 33 assists.

• Zoe Ochoa and Lauren Daly split time in cage. Ochoa holds a 10.96 goals-against average and a .466 save percentage while Daly has a 13.39 GAA and a .393 save percentage.

STUKENBERG, HADNAGY NAMED TEWAARATON FINALISTS

• Seniors Zoe Stukenberg and Nadine Hadnagy were announced as two of five finalists for the Tewaaraton Award.

• Stukenberg and Hadnagy are co-captains for the undefeated Terps this season. The seniors were both unanimous All-Big Ten selections and named to the Big Ten All-Tournament team after leading Maryland to the conference regular season and tournament titles.

• The Terps have had 19 Tewaaraton finalists in 14 years of the award. This is the fifth time Maryland has had two finalists in the same season.

• Sophomore attacker Caroline Steele scored four goals and was named the tournament MVP as the Terps won the Big Ten Championship last weekend over Northwestern. Steele had nine goals and 10 points in two tournament games.

• Senior midfielder Zoe Stukenberg, senior defender Nadine Hadnagy, junior attacker Megan Whittle and sophomore goalie Megan Taylor were named to the all-tournament team.

TERPS FINISH REGULAR SEASON 17-0

• For the third straight year and the 10th time in program history, the Terps competed the regular season with a perfect record.

• Maryland captured its third straight Big Ten regular season title. In three seasons, the Terps have gone 16-0 in conference play.

• Five Terps earned IWLCA All-America honors this week, leading the nation in selections and first-team picks.

• Senior defender Nadine Hadnagy, senior midfielder Zoe Stukenberg and sophomore goalie Megan Taylor earned first team honors while junior attacker Megan Whittle was named to the second team. Senior attacker Caroline Wannen tallied third team honors.

• Eight Terps were selected to Inside Lacrosse's first-ever media All-American teams.

• Stukenberg and Hadnagy were named to the first team and Taylor and Whittle notched second team honors. Freshman attacker Kali Hartshorn, senior attacker Caroline Wannen, sophomore midfielder Jen Giles and sophomore defender Julia Braig were named honorable mentions.
